My Preview of Diggerland

Last week my son and I were invited to preview the newest theme park in the area and we had a blast! Diggerland USA is the first-ever construction themed park in the United States and gives children and their families the opportunity to drive, ride, and operate real heavy machinery in a safe and family friendly environment. Diggerland USA is located in West Berlin adjacent to Sahara Sam’s Oasis Water Park and officially opens on June 14th!
We were given a tour of the park and were even allowed to ride a few rides and explore a few attractions. Unfortunately it started to thunderstorm and our time was cut short, but enjoy my pictures and summary below.

As soon as we arrived my little guy and I met up with some friends! It was so nice meeting Tina and her two boys from Life Without Pink.

Upon arrival to the park we couldn’t miss these two giant structures. Using harnesses you can walk to the top of this ropes course or scale the rock climbing wall!

Here are two of the rides we loved! On the left the Spin Dizzy got our adrenaline rushing and heads spinning! The Dig-A-Round, pictured on the right, serves as Diggerland’s carrousel. To see more of the 23 rides and attractions Diggerland offers click HERE!

Along the back end of the park there are a long line of diggers where the kids learn to operate real machinery. They can grab floating ducks, knock down pins, and dig into the ground as they feel like they are on a real construction site!

Throughout the park there are many specially designed obstacle courses where the kids and adults can drive various machines. We didn’t get to try this, but my son was very excited to come back and take the wheel!

Diggerland also has two other areas of fun. The Kid Zone where the kids ran, climbed and slid for almost an hour. There was also an arcade area filled with games and prizes.

We definitely had a blast exploring Diggerland USA! In my opinion the whole family would enjoy this park, but it would be most suitable for kids ages 3 and up mostly due to the height restrictions. Guests under 36″ would have very little to do, but are FREE to get in! For more FAQ’s visit HERE.
From what we saw this is a kids dream! It is a totally different and new experience. One I know my son can’t wait to try again!
Mark you calendars, Diggerland opens on June 14th!
