Last month my girlfriends and I headed out to The Melting Pot in Center City for Canvas, Cocktails and Fondue! Paint-A-Treasure of Haddon Heights brought in the painting fun. I had never been to one of these canvas painting events and with the artistic ability of a kindergartner I was a little nervous about how it would all turn out. Check out our night below:
Alysia from Paint-A- Treasure was our instructor and had such patience with all of the novice artists. Her and Sharon make a great team! In between learning how to create our masterpieces we were served two rounds of cheese fondue. The Melting Pot Center City and owner Kim know how to throw an event.  The food was fantastic and so was the atmosphere! We ended the night with dessert trays and an assortment of chocolate. Next time you are there you have to try the S’mores fondue, it is possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten!

So many of us were wondering how we would ever be able to recreate the painting given to us by Alysia, but she made it easy. Step by step she slowly took us through how to create the image. She showed us how to mix the right colors and even how to use the brush to create each part stroke by stroke. By the end we were all impressed with ourselves!

We may not be the next Picasso’s but we used a little creativity and had a lot of fun! I would highly recommend trying this with your girlfriends. It is definitely more fun than finger painting with the kids plus there is wine involved! Thank you to The Melting Pot Center City and Paint-A-Treasure for a fabulous night!
You can follow The Melting Pot Center City on Facebook HERE for more details about upcoming painting coming soon!
